This website, blog and wiki is about the Bibliothèque Sino-Internationale (BSI), an important library/cultural center active from 1933 to 1950 in Geneva, Switzerland, and from 1951 to 1993 in Montevideo, Uruguay. Designed and run by Chinese personalities, the BSI aimed at building a better understanding between China and the West. A general presentation of the BSI is available here.
The Symposium will take place on April 11-13 at the Geneva HEM, 2, rue du Général-Dufour.

An exhibition presenting the Bibliothèque Sino Internationale will be on display at 2, rue du Général Dufour, from April 11 to June 30, 2024.
A concert of Chinese Music and theater, and two film screenings are offered to the public.

This symposium aims at being an opportunity for exchange and discussion among sixteen specialists to shed light on the Bibliothèque Sino-Internationale and on the circumstances and context of its action. The main focus is on the promotion of Chinese arts: painting, literature, music, theatre and opera.
